New Purchase: Ready for Summer

In honor of summer (and being able to bring in the bucks) I thought I’d do a little shopping this weekend. Since I just got all those new shoes, I didn’t splurge too much this past weekend, but I found a few little things.

I wanted some new nail polish in some bright, summery shades. Last winter, a co-worker turned me on to Essie polish. I have always been an OPI girl, but she made some great suggestions on color and raved about Essie’s quality. So, I gave it a shot over the winter and loved it. I thought I’d try some more colors from their line.

I ended up with…

Escapades from their new summer line

Guilty Pleasures also from their new summer line.

And Style.Berry which I understand the proceeds benefit Dress for Success.

I also went by Target and picked up this bracelet, which I’d seen in their ad last week.

It’s, of course, reminiscent of Jessica Kagan Cushman’s bracelets (or the Chanel copies of the Cushman bracelets).  Like these…

And, I thought I’d give this product a try…

I’m mainly wanting to get my legs looking a little less pasty white for summer. Just add a little color. So far, I love how this works!

  1. Those are fun colors for summer!

Thank you so much for the sweet comment on my blog. It made my day! I’m so glad that you’ve enjoyed reading La Dolce Vita. 🙂

  2. I just wanted to say how much I love this “other” blog of yours Michelle – just as much as your stitching blog. 🙂 I know I don’t comment very often (I’ve really fallen out of doing that lately this year with so many blogs… ).

We seem to have a lot of similar tastes… I’ve been a big fan of S&tC from the very first series… love, love, love your latest post on that. 🙂

  3. I have to HAVE TO have the Jessica Kagan Cushman bracelet: “I want to be the girl with the most cake.” If I don’t get it I will cry.
